Join us in NYC August 2nd and immerse yourself in the world of Tanztheater, where dance, theater, and emotional storytelling collide. Guided by Tanztheater Wuppertal company member Stephanie Troyak, this workshop offers a deep dive into Pina Bausch’s iconic repertory, including Rite of Spring, Arien, and more. Participants will explore Bausch’s signature movement language, incorporating gesture, ritual, repetition, and theatrical improvisation. Through repertory, creative tasks, and exercises inspired by Tanztheater Wuppertal, dancers gain insight into Bausch’s artistic process while developing full-body storytelling and emotional expression. Hosted in collaboration with the Pina Bausch Foundation, this workshop provides a rare opportunity to engage with Bausch’s legacy in an intimate and immersive setting. The experience typically concludes with an informal sharing, discussion, or review, fostering individuality and collective creative exploration.

Take a radical dive into the starkly unique worlds of creation with two captivating choreographers. Immerse yourself in two creative processes, exploring the creator's unique physicality, character-building, acting, improvisation, and visually stunning environments.
SPRINGBOARDx | SKILLS + PROCESS
Acquire the skill sets needed for the current job market. Techniques include Contemporary, IMAGE TECH©, Ballet, Flying Low, Floor work, Contact Improvisation, Improvisation, and Process.

SPRINGBOARDx | REBEL INSTINCT
Following your instincts is a merciless journey, one rebellious by nature. Our three rebels pushed to make a name for themselves and their own unique ventures. Share space with these fiery powerhouses to help you excavate your creative underbelly and sift through its desires.
SPRINGBOARDx | REVOLUTIONARY CLASH
Share space with three dance-theater creators who are known to challenge willing minds and bodies. These boundary-breaking artists are each paving their unique path in the dance-theater scene. Join us: you may just be shocked out of your comfort zone.

In an ongoing visionary expansion of the partnership between Springboard Danse and Amplified Productions, this SPRINGBOARDx fundraising weekend offers a glimpse of the physical rigors and of our flagship summer project to dancers 16 years of age and older.

As an extension of our partnership with Point Park University and the relocation of our Summer Project to Pittsburgh, we will offer SPRINGBOARDx | Pittsburgh fundraising workshops at their magnificent facilities. Springboard artists will facilitate classes and workshops; a taste of the Summer Project in a non-audition setting.
